Vet Tech Student Awards

The MNYBAALAS Student Award includes:

• A one-year membership to MNYBAALAS
• A complimentary subscription to the AALAS Learning Library (pending availability)
• A certificate and a monetary gift of $250.00

Award Details: One Veterinary Technology student will be selected from each of the following colleges:

•  LaGuardia Community College
•  Mercy University
•  LIU
•  SUNY-Delhi

If no applications are received from a college, the award for that college will not be presented that year.

Program Director/Representative Requirements:

•  Confirm at least one staff member maintains a current MNYBAALAS membership (individual or institutional).

Applicant Requirements:

•  Provide name, home address and email address.
•  Submit a current transcript (unofficial transcript accepted).
•  Currently enrolled in a vet tech program and have completed a research animal technology (or similar) course or internship.
•  Attend 2 MNYBAALAS events.
•  Enclose a 500-word essay describing your lab animal experience and interest in pursuing a career in the laboratory animal field.
•  Provide one letter of recommendation. ● Attend the MNYBAALAS Technician Night ○ Thursday, November 14th, 5 - 7:30 pm ○ Mt Sinai, Annenberg Building, Davis Auditorium
